West Virginia Democratic Senator Joe Manchin introduced Thursday that he is not going to run for reelection in 2024. The choice means Democrats face an uphill job to take care of their slender majority in subsequent yr’s elections.

Democrats already face a tricky map in 2024 to take care of management of the Senate. They’ve 23 seats on the poll, with essentially the most contested seats in pink states like Ohio, Montana and West Virginia.
