WASHINGTON — U.S. Rep. Henry Cuellar, D-Texas, was robbed Monday evening by three armed assailants, his workplace stated.
Cuellar’s chief of employees, Jacob Hochberg, issued an announcement saying: “Whereas Congressman Cuellar was parking his automobile this night, three armed assailants approached the Congressman and stole his automobile. Fortuitously, he was not injured and is working with native legislation enforcement.”
Police recovered Cuellar’s automobile, Hochberg stated.
The Washington Publish reported that the theft occurred at 9:30 p.m. at New Jersey Avenue and KSE Avenue within the Washington Navy Yard space, a few mile from the US Capitol Constructing.
Monday’s incident was the second assault on a congressman within the District of Columbia this 12 months. In February, Democratic Rep.
